House Rules
These house rules have been compiled to clarify the rights and obligations of both the parents/guardians and the childminder. These house rules apply in addition to the service agreement between parents/guardians and the childminder, which has been signed by both parties. All parents/guardians must be aware of these general terms and conditions. If any changes are made to the general terms and conditions, you will be notified.
Opening Hours
The opening hours of Gastouderopvang Lovely4kidz are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
(Other times by arrangement)
Gastouderopvang Lovely4kidz provides care for children aged 0-4 years.
Rates
The childminder rate at Lovely4kidz childcare is €8 per hour. If you occasionally need care outside regular opening hours, this is certainly negotiable. The childminder rate is then €9 per hour.
In addition to the childminder’s hourly rate, parents pay agency fees to the childminder agency, as stipulated in the Childcare Act.
Rate changes by the childminder are communicated at least 2 months in advance. If the rate changes are not agreed to, the notice period remains fully applicable at the old rate.
Swap Days + Extra Days
Swapping days is permitted, provided the maximum number of children is not exceeded and the day to be swapped falls within the same week. It is also possible to request extra days, provided the number of children allows it. If the child is not brought on extra requested days, the hours must still be paid for. This is due to holding a spot open.
Holidays and Closing Days
Parents must notify their holidays at least 2 months in advance; this also applies to the childminder. Childcare is closed on national and Christian holidays. These are the following days: New Year’s Day, 1st and 2nd Easter Day, Ascension Day, 1st and 2nd Pentecost Day, King’s Day, Liberation Day, 1st and 2nd Christmas Day.
The minimum contracted hours are 8 hours per day. The hours fixed in the contract are always charged. These are the standard hours reserved for your child. An extra day or hour will be charged additionally.
Child’s Illness and Holiday
In case of the child’s illness, absence, or holiday, the contracted hours will be charged 100%.
Is your child ill? Please contact us as soon as possible for consultation.
In case of illness, the childminder will contact the persons listed on the “Child Form”.
Childminder’s Illness
If the childminder or one of her family members is ill and care cannot proceed, the childminder will communicate this as soon as possible. If the childminder is unavailable due to illness, these hours will not be charged. You are responsible for finding a replacement childminder.
Settling-in Hours
A child can make use of settling-in hours, which is approximately 2-3 hours in the week before care starts. These hours are free of charge. If you wish for more days/hours of settling-in, these will be charged at the normal care rate. It is beneficial if these settling-in hours (for a baby) include a nap and a feeding moment. During the settling-in hours, you must be fully reachable for any questions.
Drop-off and Pick-up
Should you be unable to arrive on time due to traffic or a meeting, please let us know; in most cases, it will not be a problem.
If your child is to be picked up by someone else, you must inform us in advance. If we do not yet know this person, they must identify themselves at the front door. If it has not been communicated in advance, we will always contact you first before your child is released.
It may sometimes take a moment for the door to be opened, for example, if the childminder is changing a diaper or taking a child to/from bed. Please wait patiently at the door (or look inside), and if the door is not opened after a few minutes, ring the doorbell again. Perhaps the childminder did not hear the doorbell.
Food and Drinks
Warm meals at lunchtime and snacks (excluding breast milk/bottle feeding) are provided by the childminder. In case of a food allergy, please provide your own food for safety reasons.
Care/Diapers and What to Bring
Wet wipes and bedding are sufficiently provided.
Please always include in the bag: pacifier (if needed), spare clothes, diapers, thermometer, bottle/spout cup/straw cup (labeled with name), bottle powder container (labeled with name and amount of water needed). For bottle feeding, always provide 1 extra serving, and for breast milk, the childminder can store an extra bottle (labeled with date and quantity) in the freezer in case of emergency.
Birthdays, Farewells, and Birthday Coloring Pages
We celebrate birthdays and farewells of the children in care, on or around the child’s birthday/farewell (we choose the date in consultation).
Your child may bring a treat, if you wish. The childminder will take photos during the party so you can view them later.
For the birthdays of grandparents and weddings, your child can make a coloring page (please communicate this a week in advance, via the childminder app).
Play
We try to play outside every day or go outdoors; please consider the clothes you dress your child in (they may get dirty). If you prefer your child to wear play clothes for outside, please provide them and inform the childminder.
We also play or do crafts indoors. The childminder tries to protect clothing from stains as much as possible. For this reason, too, do not dress your child in their best clothes that cannot get dirty. For outdoor play, it is useful if your child has rain boots when it is rainy. Furthermore, for indoors, it is good if your child has slippers.
Transportation
The childminder transports the children by wagon, car, cargo bike, or on foot with a stroller.
By signing the contract, you agree to the house rules and therefore agree to transport by car, cargo bike, and buggy.
Sleeping
For each child, the childminder has its own bedding, which is washed weekly (more often if needed). Each child sleeps alone in a bedroom as much as possible. The children in care sleep in a crib. Should more than 4 children need to sleep at the same time, 2 children will sleep in one bedroom, with 1 child in a travel cot (without an extra mattress). By signing these general terms and conditions, you agree that your child may sleep in a travel cot and share a room with another child.
A consent form must be filled out for swaddling and stomach sleeping.
Medication and Allergies
In principle, the childminder does not administer medication. If medication is necessary for your child, as a parent, you must always fill out the “medication use” form, retaining responsibility yourself. New medication will not be given to your child by the childminder due to possible allergic reactions.
If your child has allergies, please communicate them so the childminder can take them into account.
Hygiene and Safety
For hygienic reasons, shoes are removed. This is to keep the floor as clean as possible so that children can roll and crawl to their heart’s content. Your child can walk here in slippers (to be provided by yourself) or socks. Parents/guardians do not need to remove their shoes when dropping off and picking up, unless they are dirty or wet.
Annually, a risk assessment is conducted by the childminder agency. This focuses on safety in and around the care location. The risk assessment is available for inspection at the location.
Liability
The childminder cannot be held liable in any way for damage or loss of goods brought by the parent/guardian for the child to the care facility.
Parents/guardians are required to have liability insurance; the childminder has taken out business liability insurance.
Agreement to House Rules
By signing the contract with the childminder, you also agree to the house rules of Gastouderopvang Lovely4kidz.
